Compensation has been secured for a man who was left with permanent disability after being injured in a road accident.
The man developed chronic back pain in the years following the accident, and will have to use crutches for the rest of his life. He tried to carry on working but ultimately had to close his successful plumbing business, as a result of which his mental health suffered.
He brought a claim for compensation. Evidence of his disabilities and their ongoing impact on his life was obtained from medical experts.
Following negotiations, his claim was settled for £450,000. The settlement will provide him with financial security and allow him to receive specialist rehabilitation treatment.
